SMEDAN News 2024 -Announces $100,000 – $1m MSME Grant for Nigerians
The application portal for the Smedan Matching Fund Programme for Nigerian small business owners is now live. Applicants can apply for loans ranging from $100,000 to $1 million.
The Nigerian Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (SMEDAN) has revived the $I00,000 grant opportunity for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (AISMEs) in Nigeria and Africa in general for the benefit of MSMEs that apply to rabbits. It has been made public.
The project was created in the United States to encourage small-scale development in Nigeria and other African countries.
The project seeks to give MSMEs with up to $100,000 in subsidies and technical help.
Agriculture and food security, as well as education, healthcare, sanitation and hygiene, climate change, and gender equality, will all be addressed.

Register Your Business With SMEDAN, Using Your Phone
The processes for registering your business with SMEDAN utilizing your cell phone are as follows:
- Visit the official SMEDAN login page at https://www.smedan.gov.ng/login.
- Select “Mass MSMSE Registration” from the drop-down menu.
- Then you’ll be sent to a registration dashboard, where you’ll be asked for your personal information, business name, phone number, and email address.
- Then, after entering the information above, click “Get Started,” which will prompt you to fill out a form with your company’s goals and information about the owner.
- After that, click “Summit,” and you’ll be prompted to check your email address for a link to download your certificate, which will include your SMEDAN number.

SMEDAN Grant Registration Requirements
Basic Information
- Is your company now employing fewer than 50 people?
- Is your company based in the Federal Capital Territory, Oyo State, or Kaduna State?
- Is your company in the food-processing or agricultural-processing business?
- Is your business up and running since 2018?
- Is your company fully owned by Nigerians?
- Is it possible for your company to employ at least two employees as a result of the loan?
- Is there a credit history for your company or primary promoter(s)?
Regulatory Compliance

2. Enter Personal Details
Just type in your first and last names. Then type in your company’s email address. Please do not use your personal email address.
3. Supply Basic Information
At this point, you must respond to each of the seven questions listed. The inquiries include everything from the number of employees at your company and its location, to post-loan recruitment capability and credit history. To respond, tap “Yes” or “No.”
4. Answer Regulatory Compliance Questions
You will be asked questions to determine whether you meet the fund’s eligibility requirements. There are five (5) questions in total, including ones on your SMEDAN registration status, CAC registration status, and financial accounts.
If you manufacture or package food, you need to have a NAFDAC registration number for your products.
5. Complete Product Evaluation and Submit
If you produce or package food, you need to have a NAFDAC registration number for your products.

- Complete the section on your business profile.
- Respond to the questionnaire on the form to complete the other sections of the form.
